Sugar Design is proud to announce the launch of the new website for One Stop Films. A creative film production company specialising in Jimmy Jib and Steadicam film work and boasting an impressive list of credits.
We built the website in flash using the same swfaddress scripting as was used for the Burogloo site, allowing the user to bookmark pages and enabling the back button in the browser. swfaddress also generates search engine friendly urls allowing the content to be indexed. In addition to the showreels that feature on the site we also built an image gallery fed via an external xml file making it updatable without touching the original flash files. All in a days work… or several days I should say.
The site is first and foremost a showcase for the stunning camerawork of founders Danny Bishop and Jonathan Iles. The images speak for themselves, have a look, I’m sure you’ll be impressed. We were.
As always, let us know what you think!

We’ve been busy busy creating another fantastic Website for your delectation.
Hitchin based Architects Burogloo wanted a site that reflected their individual style with wow factor. Sugar Design teamed together with aitch:creative limited and gave them just that. We took hand drawn elements from the Architects themselves and created a multi-layered site with paper pages and real life textures. Samples of Architect Benjamin Makins handwriting were converted into a font to further personalise the feel of the site and stamp it with his unique style.
Built in flash the site makes use of swfaddress for deep linking and the creation of unique virtual URLs.
We love it, they love it – what do you think?

Sugar Design is proud to announce that the re branding of The Victoria Public House has been cemented with the launch of their fabulous new website.
We were asked to create a site that was light and bright and reflected the traditional feel of the Pub but with a contemporary twist. Landlady Victoria Kevans wanted a feminine feel to the design so we drew inspiration from the unique wallpaper found within the Pub itself.
The site was built using html, css and php and has a custom built content managed events page which Victoria can update herself. The site also has downloadable pdf menus designed by our good selves…
We’re really pleased with it and hope you like it too.

Finally the site is live! I must confess this has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do…. give me a site to design for someone else, no problem… create one to represent myself… hmmm slightly more tricky. Read the rest of this entry »
