Ever since I can remember I have loved drawing and many hours of my youth were spent dedicated to this pursuit. Having always wanted to be an illustrator, it wasn't until I embarked on my Art foundation course in college that I realised I was more suited to graphic design. My first proper job was working for a local printers in their design studio... back in those days there were still drawing boards and cow gum. Then I was introduced to an Apple Mac and there was no turning back. It was then that I began to appreciate my fathers insistence that I take both English and Maths at A level (in addition to Art of course) as both have held me in good stead throughout my career (but don't tell him that!). Many years later I found myself working at Aitch Creative, a Hitchin based agency where I worked for nearly 10 years. There I turned my hand to all areas of design and developed my skills to a high level. Much of the work you will see here on my site was done whilst at Aitch and I still have a strong working relationship with them.
I am both creative and technical and am particularly good at problem solving. I love to learn and with the ever changing world this has enabled me to stay up to date with current technologies and working practices. With this in mind I have decided to start my own blog and intend to fill it with all things creative and share some of my experience via case studies and tutorials. I hope this will help give an insight into the work behind the scenes and open up discussions from other creatively minded people. Feel free to leave a comment - it's good to talk............
